"The amount of random conversations that lead to culture-shifting ideas is insane" - Virgil Abloh
Abloh was the artistic Director of Louis Vuitton's menswear collection from March 2018 until his death in 2021. Abloh was also the chief executive officer of the Milan-based label Off-White, a fashion house he founded in 2013. Abloh worked with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, whom he met in 2010 while designing the cover for Kanye West's album 'Graduation'. On numerous occasions their artwork has been showcased together such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and Mukarkami's shop Oz Zingaro in Tokyo.
